The day aims to elevate the importance of learning throughout the summer to ensure kids return to school this fall ready to succeed. According to the National Summer Learning Association, children can lose up to two months of essential math and reading skills during summer months.

Amy Davis, school outreach coordinator with Colorado Connections Academy, is available to discuss why summers matter for education. She offers tips about how to keep students engaged with educational summer activities.
