Winners will receive $100 gift certificates from Maria’s and runners-up will receive $50. Awards will be presented at a Durango City Council meeting. Two thousand book marks, with artists’ names, will be printed for each winning entry. Giant bookmarks will be created of winning bookmarks and displayed in the library and at Maria’s.
Entires must be original artwork, vertical or horizontal, with a book-related quote. Size and proportion should be capable of downsizing to 2×8 inch bookmark size. All entries must be turned in to the library’s front desk at 1900 East Third Ave., no later than Sept. 27. Entry forms are available at the library, Maria’s Bookshop, the library website and all Durango area schools in hard copy or electronically.
