What we saw was a glorious reminder of why many of us say we live in paradise. Along with the natural beauty that abounds – the river, mountains, flora and occasional fauna – there were several new public-art pieces, the botanical society’s garden by the library, people with kids and dogs strolling on the trail or using it for more strenuous workouts, others relaxing while floating on the river and the iconic train.

How fortunate I am to live here! Thank you to all of the artists, gardeners, volunteers, public officials and taxpayers who made my Sunday morning so rewarding.
