50 years ago: IGNACIO – “Anthony Burch has been named program director for the Southern Ute Indian Tribe by the Tribal Council.”

25 years ago: “Honor roll students at Durango High School are eligible for ski passes as part of a pilot program started this year by Purgatory Ski Resort. Students are recommended for the program at the end of each quarter based on their grades and attendance records. As the student improves throughout high school, so do the skiing benefits.”
