50 years ago: “The Gene Spotts family planned a week in Sun City near Phoenix for the school vacation. They were delayed a day, however, by their son, Phil, breaking out with measles.”

25 years ago: “Continental Express airlines announced an increase in service to Durango, only a few months after Mesa Airlines said it would cancel jet services from Denver to Durango. Continental will have four non-stop flights every day except Saturday to Denver on its new ATR-42, a 46-passenger jet-prop valued at more than $8 million.”
