50 years ago: This appeared in the section titled Girl About Town: “One of the most intriguing names in the Basin is that of MacDougall Coyote of Towaoc. Mr. and Mrs. Coyote became parents of a 7 pound, 5 ounce son at Southwest Memorial hospital Sunday. His name? Mark Anthony.”
25 years ago: “In the wake of the third major marijuana raid in La Plata County in less than a month, local law enforcement officials are putting pot growers on notice that more busts are forthcoming.”
