50 years ago: The following appeared in the section titled Girl About Town: “The fish in the pool at the City Hall have been returned to the fish hatchery temporarily while repairs are made to the pool.”

25 years ago: “Dick and Jane’s Place in Bondad is the only site in Colorado for the state Lottery’s test marketing of the Instant Ticket Game vending machine. The Instant Game is a $1 per ticket, scratch-and-play game that runs 6-8 weeks at a time. Up to now all tickets were sold by retailers behind the counter.”
