Storyteller, songwriter, guitarist and “voice-stramentalist” Lawrence “Lipbone” Redding will be in Ignacio today performing and offering music workshops for kids to benefit Dancing Spirit Community Arts Center and Stillwater Foundation’s Daniel Finn Scholarship. Redding will offer a music workshop at 4 p.m. for ages 6–12 and from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. for ages 13–18. He will explore sounds and vocal warm up activities with the younger kids. With the older kids, Redding will delve into rhythm and melody as well as the exploring sounds the mouth can make along with a good vocal warm-up. The workshop fee is $5 and pre-registration is required.
