Brown is from Denver and graduated from University of Colorado at Boulder in molecular, cellular and developmental biology, with a minor in mathematics. She worked in the dental field as an assistant after college, and completed an advanced education in general dentistry postgraduate residency at Marillac Clinic, part of the New York University Lutheran Dental Medicine program, in Grand Junction.
