We already know that the toxic metals leaking from Silverton’s mines have traveled at least as far down the Animas as Bakers Bridge and have killed three of four species of fish, not to mention a multitude of insect and bug species. Are we going to let the entire Animas River become a wasteland and allow our precious water supply to be destroyed before meaningful action is taken?
