It’s the middle of May, so that means only the best teams and athletes are still competing.

That includes the Durango High School baseball and girls golf teams that are competing for tournament glory this week against Colorado’s best.

However, the highlight of the week is the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic. There are a few events in Durango that bring the community together like the IHBC and its events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The forecast looks great for all the racers and riders trying to complete of Colorado’s most iconic cycling events.

Fort Lewis College isn’t done either. A few of the Skyhawks’ stellar track and field athletes will be competing at the Division II outdoor track and field national championships.
