Commute29, our overall Gridiron Green leader with 130 points, has seven.

McKie of Mancos, who showed up in last week’s 4th and Long with just 3 of 13 right in Week 12, rebounded a la Aaron McKie with 14 of 16 right in Week 13 for a one-pick victory over a host of unlucky 13s.

Daniel Orris and Gary Norton, our Weeks 2 and 10 winners, respectively, also showed up in the 1st and Goal.

The Gridiron Guru went 10-6 in Week 13 to run his season total to 112-77.

On to Week 13 …

Thursday, Dec. 5

Houston at Jacksonville (NFL Network) – Another doozie on the Network. The current placeholder as the worst team in the AP Pro32 power rankings against the team that owned that mark the first eight weeks of the season, when the Jaguars were 0-8. Two consecutive wins and three of the last four have painted Gus Bradley and the Jaguars in a different light of late. Pick: Jaguars, 19-17. Line: Texans by 3.

Sunday, Dec. 8

Atlanta at Green Bay – North of the border, the Falcons are undefeated. Back in the states, not so much. Pick: Packers, 22-21. Line: Off.

Minnesota at Baltimore – Cassel? Ponder? It doesn’t matter; the defending champions can smell the postseason. Pick: Ravens, 21-13. Line: Ravens by 7.

Kansas City at Washington – After three consecutive defeats, the Chiefs will rediscover their mojo in the nation’s capital. Pick: Chiefs, 23-17. Line: Chiefs by 3½.

Buffalo at Tampa Bay – The Bills lost their “home” game in Canada, and now they get a hard-charging, smooth-sailing Buccaneers’ squad. Pick: Buccaneers, 24-17. Line: Buccaneers by 2½.

Miami at Pittsburgh – The Steelers still have a couple of moves left, including the Tomlin two-step. Pick: Steelers, 21-20. Line: Steelers by 3.

Detroit at Philadelphia (KASA) – Throw a few more coles on the Foles! Pick: Eagles, 30-28. Line: Lions by 2½.

Indianapolis at Cincinnati – The Colts have been known to get a little Luck now and then this season in road games. Pick: Colts, 26-20. Line: Colts by 5½.

Cleveland at New England – Remember when the Browns were coached by Bill Belichick? Weird. Pick: Patriots, 30-9. Line: Off.

Oakland at N.Y. Jets – Trust Geno Smith? Not yet; he’s got a lot to prove. Pick: Raiders, 14-6. Line: Jets by 2½.

Tennessee at Denver (KCNC, KREZ; KRSJ 100.5 FM) – Welcome back, John Fox. Pick: Broncos, 37-27. Line: Broncos by 12.

Seattle at San Francisco (KASA) – The Seahawks made a statement against the Saints, and they looked every bit the best team in the NFL and the Super Bowl favorites. Pick: Seahawks, 21-20. Line: 49ers by 3.

N.Y. Giants at San Diego – Eli Manning for Philip Rivers? That happened. Rivers, however, wins this battle. Pick: Chargers, 30-21. Line: Chargers by 3.

St. Louis at Arizona – Carson Palmer – when protected, and the Rams pack a pass rush – to Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd is reminiscent of their Kurt Warner glory days. Pick: Cardinals, 27-17. Line: Cardinals by 6½.

Carolina at New Orleans (KOBF, KUSA) – The Saints’ real test starts here. The Panthers have won eight in a row, and the Big Easy is a little more forgiving than the Seattle Sound. Pick: Saints, 24-21. Line: Saints by 4.

Monday, Dec. 9

Dallas at Chicago (ESPN) – On the strength of their running game, the Cowboys soldier on at Soldier Field. Feast your eyes on this, DeMarco Murray: The Bears’ defense averages an NFL-worst 153.6 rushing yards a game. Pick: Cowboys, 33-30. Line: pick’em.
