Bobcats play for the SJBL crown

Wyatt Hayes, Clayton Jefferson and the Ignacio Bobcats knocked off Monticello, Utah, by 22 points on Tuesday, and the Buckaroos were ranked third in Class 1A Utah. Ignacio is ranked first in Class 2A Colorado, and the Bobcats improved to 17-0 this season with the victory. Now, they’ve got a San Juan Basin League regular-season title to win. IHS (17-0, 6-0 SJBL) played at Norwood on Friday night and will host Telluride at 4:30 p.m. Saturday for the league championship; the IHS girls (6-11, 4-2 SJBL) played at Norwood on Friday night and will host the Miners at 2 p.m. Saturday.
