Durango Fire Protection District workers help clean up after a driver hit a light pole Saturday morning in the 3500 block of Main Avenue. The driver in a Buick Milan was traveling southbound when he said he saw what he thought was a rock. He swerved to avoid it but ended up hitting the pole. Traffic was momentarily diverted while workers cleared the accident. The car had to be towed. There were no injuries.
