And for the better-than-you-could-ever-dream rescue, Jim Turner, all-American hero, gentleman, supreme engineer and grid unlocker: All I asked of the driver behind me was to please call AAA for me. But he did so much more and employed another lady driver to call for a law officer to come direct traffic. He first jump-started the battery of my car, and then we both waited in our vehicles for the signal again. And it stalled again. This time, he instructed me first that he was going to push my car while I steered it into a U-turn and allowed it to roll to a place where he could safely jump start it again.

There is more: If you were ever chosen by fate to be a hero like Turner, you could not have been cursed with a dumber driver than me that day. When I offered some money he said, “No, just pass it forward, that’s what I’m doing.” He even waited on the other side of the intersection to make sure my car and I finally made it through.

I can’t wait to pass it forward, even though I cannot imagine how to do it as well.
