La Plata Archuleta Water District is more than halfway through the process of implementing a water management and conservation plan.

After the May comment period, staff members will incorporate the comments into the plan. The board will receive a final draft plan that could be adopted at its June 12 meeting. The Water Management and Conservation Plan will then be submitted to the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation as the final product for its grant.

The draft Water Management and Conservation Plan will be available to the public for comment during May at www.laplawd.org or at the district’s office, 255 Ute St., Ignacio.
