In its latest folly, CDOT will be installing a concrete island on U.S. Highway 160 west,completely eliminating left turns off of Roosa Drive. The reasoning? To reduce the increased traffic snarls and collisions at that intersection. Gee! I wonder why the increase?

It appears CDOT’s bag of blunders isn’t even half full. Three quick ones that come to mind: the pedestrian bridge, the infamous mega-million dollar “Bridge to Nowhere” and the “shoot the gap” flashing amber turn arrows on a 55 mph highway. Can’t wait to see what comes next! P.S. I don’t get the green places and the narrowed traffic lanes. How about some blue areas and a few pink ones for the ladies?
