The Hisatsinom Chapter of the Colorado Archaeology Society will present Karen Adams at 7 p.m. July 1 at the Methodist Church, 515 Park St. in Cortez.

Adams will discuss Ancient Yucca quids with Tobacco Contents: Antelope Cave, Northwest Arizona. Her presentation will focus on her research on Yucca quids found in Antelope Cave that date to the Pueblo I period.

Traffic impacts on U.S. 160/550 minimal

Traffic impacts will be minimal through Saturday while CDOT and contractor, Concrete Works of Colorado, perform signal light electrical work, install signage and continue road striping for the U.S. Highway 160/550 Continuous Flow Intersection project in Durango.

Single and left-turn lane closures northbound on U.S. 550/Camino del Rio at the College Drive intersection will start at 6:30 p.m. and continue into the night Monday. Possible single-lane closures and lane shifts for through lanes in both directions west of the U.S. 160/550 intersection will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Single-lane closures or lane shifts northbound to the College Drive intersection and southbound past the U.S. 160/550 intersection will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
