One in particular comes to mind when statistics from a study indicated the vast numbers of women who would likely succumb to breast cancer. His response greatly eased our minds and doubtless countless others when he analyzed the data from the study and explained why the results were not reliable. We have copied and distributed his column to friends and physicians who expressed their thanks for bringing it to their attention. His May 4 column on determining the validity of studies was a standout.
