McLachlan was admonishing the kids, telling them that it was illegal for them to be riding the dirt bikes on the street. Then he turned to their father (who was riding a mountain bike and supervising the kids) and began to lecture him with the same condescension.

The parade was in a controlled environment, and it was not illegal for the children to be participating in this manner. It was appalling to see McLachlan bully these kids and their father!
