This applies most particularly to his passion and concern for helping jail prisoners avoid the revolving door of returning to jail after release by implementing simple and sensible support programs – often with community volunteers – to help get their lives back on track with information on employment, housing, drug treatment and other life-related issues.

Not much of this is happening now.
