For Durango to be successful we must solicit and develop to the desires of the “big box”? If the adage an increased tide of economic activity raises all of our ships were true, I’d be supportive of the development. I don’t believe this. I believe these retail stores will bring in more low-paying jobs and ship our money out to Connecticut or California.

The fact is that economic growth is always followed by an increase in disparity between the rich and the poor and a withering middle class. The Wilson Gulch Drive development moves us down the road to economic disparity across that bridge to nowhere. Shop locally.
