On the other hand, I have been waiting 40 years to dip my feet in Lake Nighthorse. I think the atomic bomb was developed and deployed in less time than it has taken to bring the lake to operational status.

Now it’s election time. I am extremely disappointed that politicians for any office, representing any party, have apparently stayed mute on their support for resolution of this recreational activity. Is this a lack of courage, not caring or laziness? Certainly, many of these politicians are in a position to influence or strive to influence outcome of this issue. Their lack of interest indicates they are not looking at our community issues as a whole and maybe our vote should be withheld?
