Since June, Allison and I have walked and knocked on doors together at least one day a week. We walked through rain, heat and wind to meet the voters of La Plata County. We left brochures for those who were not home.

Allison organized our coverage, so no one was left out. It was wonderful to meet the people who were home, many of whom had never had a candidate stop by. It was her goal to meet the voters of our county in person and to find out their concerns. And, there were others – many others – who also walked with Allison during the past months.

I am very impressed with Allison’s passion for serving La Plata County and her amazing work experience. In addition, she has perfect academic credentials for the job of county treasurer, including an MBA. And to strengthen her résumé, this past spring, she took a class in treasurer operations. Her work background includes: US Bank as an auditor, Pacific Gas and Electric and Microsoft – all world-class organizations demanding the highest performance of their employees.

If we were looking for the perfect person for the position of county treasurer, we could not find a better candidate. Allison is a very hard-working and ethical individual and is not relying on anyone else to promote her. She has educated herself since leaving home at 17 and understands how difficult it can be to make it on your own. Her personal story is amazing.

Please look at her credentials and her campaign efforts and vote for the best-qualified candidate for La Plata County treasurer: Allison Morrissey.
