I beg to differ. All of our county’s $62 million in revenue and $71 million in disbursements go through the treasurer’s office, and the efficiency with which it is collected and disbursed, and how, when and where it is invested is crucial to the life of the county in the current times of declining revenue.

This is a very big deal. Morrissey has the expertise to analyze outdated systems that do not communicate with each other, and to create effective, efficient systems that will get waste and error out of end-to-end processes. She has done this at Microsoft and at Pacific Gas and Electric, and she can and wants to do that here.

The county cannot afford to waste money. Morrissey has the experience in technology and accounting, and the proven business success to implement needed changes for La Plata County. Vote for Allison Morrissey for La Plata County treasurer.
