Alison Foote of Aztec, aka MissAli23, snapped an eight-player tie for first place with a well-guessed 45-21 tiebreaker in the Sunday-night football game in Denver. The Broncos beat the San Francisco 49ers 42-17.

Foote’s 12, as a result, won the Green.

The Gridiron Guru rebounded as expected with an 11, joining fellow weekly champions Aaron Archuleta, Shauna Dooley-Wallace and Marcia Kuzma in a majority of Greenies with 11-of-15 correct.

The Guru, which correctly picked the Chiefs over the Chargers to nicely segue into the Chargers’ upset over the Broncos, is 67-41 on the season. Only …

Detroit vs. Atlanta, at London (KASA): London’s Calling hard for a team. Jacksonville? St. Louis? It’s not the Falcons or the Lions, but, hey, Brits, enjoy the show; this is the best game, best quarterbacks, they’ve seen since Stan Gelbaugh QB’ed the London Monarchs to the 1991 World Bowl championship. Pick: Lions, 23-10. Line: Lions by 4.

St. Louis at Kansas City: Well, it’s not the I-70 series St. Louis fans were hoping for, but the Rams are building something through a Mason, building off their win against the defending Super Bowl champions, and it’s tricky. Pick: Rams, 23-16. Line: Chiefs by 6½.

Houston at Tennessee: Texans remember the Oilers, then lay an oil slick on the Titans’ home field. Pick: Texans, 22-20. Line: Texans by 1.

Minnesota at Tampa Bay: The Bucs hoist Leslie Frazier on their shoulders in the a la Buffalo Bills’ Jim Schwartz treatment. (See: Week 5.) Pick: Buccaneers, 19-17. Line: Buccaneers by 3.

Seattle at Carolina (KREZ): My prediction is the quarterbacks will outgain the running backs. Pick: Panthers, 27-20. Line: Seahawks by 4½.

Baltimore at Cincinnati (KCNC): Each teams’ arrows are pointing in different directions. Pick: Ravens, 23-16. Line: Bengals by 1½.

Miami at Jacksonville: There’s been a Michigan Man sighting in Jacksonville, but this game will come down to the new-and-improved play of the Dolphins’ hybrid quarterback. Pick: Dolphins, 21-20. Line: Dolphins by 5½.

Chicago at New England: The Bears are soldiers away from home, but Foxborough is no place for an enemies’ tea party. Pick: Patriots, 24-20. Line: Patriots by 6.
