The Bayfield Marshal's Office is going pink next week for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Instead of writing tickets with a fine for traffic violations, staff will give warnings and ask if drivers would like to donate to the cause. Donations also can be made at passionatelypink.org; click on the 'Give To An Event' tab; and type in "badges against breast cancer" in the event name field. Proceeds benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The marshal and deputies are wearing pink T-shirts or citation bars on their uniforms this month for breast cancer awareness.
