Do the bright lights beckon? Have you always dreamed of gliding down the catwalk?

Here’s your chance. Fashion designer Orlando Dugi will be interviewing prospective models on Thursday and Friday for a fashion show debuting his new collection next week.

Dugi’s work is currently on display in the Gallery at the Center of Southwest Studies in an exhibit titled “One Bead at a Time.”

“Fashion is not only part of self-expression, but also, in Orlando Dugi’s words, part of the decidedly Native reverence of ‘Dressing for the Holy Ones,’” Teri Greeves wrote in First American Art Magazine. “Though at first glance, the viewer or wearer of his clothing and beadwork may not see overtly Native designs and patterns, it is, in fact, his approach to what he creates and why he creates it that makes it truly Native.”

Interviews will take place from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. both days at the Student Union at Fort Lewis College.

The fashion show will be held at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 15 at the FLC Ballroom.
