The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired right-hander Juan Nicasio from the Colorado Rockies on Monday in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations. Nicasio will be added to the 40-man roster, and infielder Ryan Jackson was designated for assignment to make room, said Andrew Friedman, the Dodgers’ new president of baseball operations. The 28-year-old Nicasio was 6-6 with a 5.38 earned-run average for the Rockies last season, his fourth in the major leagues. He had 14 starts but came out of the bullpen exclusively during the second half of the season, posting a 3.48 ERA in 19 games. The native of the Dominican Republic is 21-22 over 88 career games, all with Colorado from 2011 to 2014.
