“Don’t Spill the Beans” New Year’s Eve Party will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Marvel Grange, 217 County Road 133A.
This is a family event – no alcohol will be served or allowed. The evening will begin with a bean supper followed by table games. Door prizes will be given away throughout the evening. There will be a bean guessing game, a jelly-bean tasting game, a tub of beans for the kids to dig in for prizes and more.
Colorado Lifework announces programs
Colorado Lifework Foundation Inc., a nonprofit organization, will offer these programs:

A 10-week “Divorce and Beyond” program will begin the first week of March. The cost is $50. For location and registration, call Paula Schaub at 749-3027. “What about the Children?” will be available to the children, ages 6 to 12, of the parents attending “Divorce and Beyond.” The children will meet in a separate room at the same time. Private appointments are available for “Healing of Memories,” a conducted meditation that reflects on experiences from conception to present adulthood. Individual or group options are available. There is no charge. For more information, call Michels.
Fees are adjusted to a person’s ability to pay and cover all the materials. A two-hour DVD of “The Gathering,” which covers the effects of divorce on a community, also is available by calling Michels.
Road Runner cancels service Tuesday
Road Runner Stage Lines announces the cancelation of Durango-Grand Junction bus service on Tuesday.
Mechanical problems in both buses used by the service forced the shutdown. Riders can check the status of service by visiting http://roadrunnerstagelines.com or calling 563-0389.
Road Runner Stage Lines is operated by Southern Ute Community Action Programs in partnership with Colorado Department of Transportation and Greyhound. It has been operating daily service between Durango and Grand Junction, via Cortez and Telluride since July.
