The Durango Knights of Columbus Council No. 1408 will host the annual Sweetheart Dance on Feb. 14 in the St. Columba school gymnasium.

A Mexican dinner by Romero’s of Silverton will be served from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Ralph Dinosaur will provide music for dancing from 7 to 10 p.m.

A cash bar and silent auction are featured. Tickets are $20 per person and $5 for kids 10 and younger.

Tickets are available Feb. 7-8, from any local Knight, after Mass at Sacred Heart and St. Columba churches or at the door. Proceeds will benefit the KC Council No. 1408 charity fund which has supported church, families and youth in our community since 1909.

Inner Peace gathering will be Saturday

The Inner Peace Movement presentation “You and the Universe” will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Durango Community Recreation Center, Windom/Sunlight Room, 2700 Main Ave. The presentation is free. Doulas and Midwives to meet Wednesday

Grants offered for courthouse upgrades

The new Colorado Underfunded Courthouse Facility Cash Fund Commission has opened the application period for the first round of grants to help eligible counties cover costs of courthouse repair, remodeling or construction projects. Applications, rules and other information of eligible counties, may be found at http://www.courts.state.co.us/Administration/Unit.cfm?Unit=undfunct.
