Some people on the pro side spoke of the long wait times at the carousel to pick up their luggage. They seem to have forgotten how long it takes at all the other airports. When you get off a plane at a larger airport, it takes a long time to walk the half-mile or more to the carousel. Once you get there, you usually get to wait an additional long time before you see your luggage.

It only seems like a long time at our airport because it takes less than five minutes to get from a plane to the carousel. As to parking, if there really isn’t enough of it, here’s a cheap solution: Double the rates. And if that doesn’t work, triple the rates.

As to expanding the airport, where’s the guarantee that the currently serving airlines will stay? Frontier just left, and Delta left recently. Who’s to guarantee that American and United will stay?
