The Wolverines finished the Farmington Invitational on Friday with six wins by five athletes and in the top-five of both the boys and girls team standings.

Jessica Cusick won the girls 800-meter dash in 2 minutes, 26.61 seconds.

Jessie Roukema jumped five feet to win the girls high jump.

Gabe Kaufmann took first in the boys 100-meter dash in 11.86 seconds.

Conner Kennedy finished first in the long jump at 20 feet, 0.25 inches.

Aubry Brown won both the shot put and discus at 43-9.25 and 137-07, respectively.

Two BHS pole vaulters leapt into second. Michael Voss hit 12-09, and Katie Hawkins tied for second at 8-03.

Amber Johnson was third in the girls 200-meter dash in 28.98 seconds.

Bridget Goddard took third in the girls 1,600-meter run at 6:01.21.

Brian Mashak finished third in the boys 200-meter dash in 24.23 seconds.

Blane Barnes was third in both the discus and shot put. He threw the discus 116-1 and the shot 40-7.

Ignacio High School

Five IHS Bobcats brought home seven top-10 finishes from the Farmington Invitational on Friday.

Keith Joosten was Ignacio’s top athlete with a fifth-place finish in boys pole vault at 11 feet, 3 inches. Chrystianne Valdez tied for sixth in the girls pole vault, reaching 7-09.

Blaine Mickey took seventh in the boys 100-meter dash in 12.13 seconds, and Bryan Gram was seventh in the boys long jump at 17-10.5. Gram also took eighth in the 400-meter dash in 55.44 seconds.

Isis Gonzales was ninth in the girls 400 in 1:11.73, and Joosten took ninth in the boys triple jump at 36-00.5.

Both BHS and IHS will return to action at the Bayfield Invitational on April 4 in Bayfield.
