Durango High School senior Rebekah Hwang, center, playing “Madam Thenardier,” ventures into the audience to draw fellow members of DHS Theater Troupe 1096 into her performance of “Man of the House” from the musical “Les Miserables” on Wednesday evening at the Durango Public Library. From left are sophomore Ataley Villasenor, senior Elise Christiansen, Hwang, junior William Barney and senior Katelyn Craig. Ataley is the daughter of Jeff and Rhonda Villasenor, Elise is the daughter of Glen and Effie Christiansen, Rebekah is the daughter of Jay and Karen Hwang, William is the son of Tom Barney and Anne Klein, and Katelyn is the daughter of Mark and Dianne Craig. The troupe, directed by Kristen Winchester-White, performed for about an hour, then answered questions from the audience.
