The Shooting Stars, a girls traveling basketball team based in Ignacio, is celebrating two tournament wins this month.<br><br>The girls are coached by assistant Travis Cunuto, back left, and Head Coach Adam Tucson, back right. <br><br>The Stars won the Pagosa Springs Youth Tournament April 17 and 18 in their age bracket.<br><br>The next weekend, they won the Mid-America Youth Basketball tournament at Ft. Lewis College. They defeated the New Mexico Fierce, a team from Albuquerque, 27-24 on Sunday. On Saturday, they defeated teams from Sanford, Durango and Blanding, Utah, to advance to the championship game. Team members in Pagosa were Avee Canuto, Ebony Gomez, Charlize Valdez, Jayden and Lacey Brunson, Chelsea Gosney, Monica Lucero, Courtney Sherman, Samantha Herrera, and Cici Harrison.<br><br>Congratulations, Stars!
