Blue Lake Ranch will host its 22nd annual Iris Festival and Bedding Plant Sale from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. June 13-14 on Colorado Highway 140 at mile marker 16, three-tenths of a mile north of Wildcat Canyon Road in Hesperus.

Alternative Horizons announces groups
Alternative Horizons will offer a free six-week women’s group for those who would like to heal the pain of being in an abusive relationship. The group will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays beginning June 16.
Participants will build better communication skills; use the art for self-exploration; learn skills to move beyond trauma; reclaim their inner self and create better boundaries.
Alternative Horizons also will offer a free six-week group this summer for girls who will be in sixth or seventh grade next year. This group will cover issues such as self-esteem, body image, healthy relationships, assertiveness, diversity, communication and more. The group will meet from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Mondays.

Rosa Cemetery cleanup rescheduled
The cleanup at the Rosa Cemetery has been rescheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the cemetery off County Road 975.
Anyone with family or friends buried at the Rosa Cemetery are encouraged to join the first 2015 bi-annual cleanup.
Lunch will be provided by the Arboles Carmelita’s.
