The Mancos Common Press is launching a 30-day Kickstarter campaign through July 2 with a goal of $15,000 to raise money to begin the restoration and preservation of the Mancos Times Building and historic Cranston press.

Kids can do yoga for free Wednesday
Free Kids Yoga for children ages 3 to 7 will take place from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at Pediatric Associates of Durango, 1199 Main Ave, Suite 205.
The class will be taught by Joy Kilpatrick, and it is offered the first Wednesday of every month.
Injured firefighter needs your help
A Family Dinner and Dance, featuring Tyller Gummersall, and a pie auction will take place Saturday at Spring Creek Hall, five miles east of Ignacio on Colorado Highway 151, then left on County Road 334.
A taco dinner will take place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. A dance will take place from 8 p.m. to midnight. The cost of the dinner and dance is $15 for adults and $10 for children younger than 10. The cost for the dance alone is $5 at the door. All proceeds will benefit local wildland firefighter Micheal Rowe with medical expenses while he receives care in Colorado Springs.

Yard sales Bayfield’s main event Saturday
Bayfield Yard Sale Day will take place Saturday.
Yard sales start whenever people start putting out their items Saturday. The map of yard sales will be published in the Friday edition of The Pine River Times. To be on the map of garage sales, visit the Billy Goat Saloon, Salon del Sol or Bayfield Chiropractic.
The cost is $10 until the deadline of 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Bayfield chamber to meet June 11
Silver Spruce Academy in Bayfield will host the Bayfield Chamber of Commerce meeting from 5:30 to 7 p.m. June 11 at 40031 Highway 160 in Gem Village, next to Lake Chiropractic.
The academy provides tutoring, educational enrichment and classes for home-school families in the Four Corners. All people who are interested in learning and contributing to the Bayfield business community are invited.

‘On the Road’ meetings to continue
The La Plata County commissioners will continue a series of “On the Road” meetings at 7 p.m. Monday at the Animas Valley Grange Hall, 7271 County Road 203.
