Railing against gay marriage, Vi uses the Bible story of Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis, Chapter 19) as her justification for God’s punishment of sexual sinners. “Only Lot and his family were not destroyed because they were born-again Christians.”

If she had actually read this chapter of the book she claims was written by God’s appointees, she would also know that Lot offered his two virgin daughters to be raped by the Sodomites so they wouldn’t instead rape the two male angels who visited him as God’s representatives. Later, as he fled from Sodom and Gomorrah with his wife and daughters, God killed his wife by turning her into a pillar of salt, just because she looked back. Then, while they were hiding in a cave, he got drunk and had sex with his two daughters, and they both became pregnant.

I guess McCoy approves of rape, wife-killing and incest but not marriage between two loving people?
