The Taste of the Four Corners Dinner and Silent Auction will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 22 at Fox Fire Farms, 5737 County Road 321 in Ignacio.

All proceeds will benefit the Ignacio FFA (free from alongside) scholarship program, giving graduating seniors the opportunity for a scholarship to continue their education in an agriculture-related field. The event will feature live music by Lacey Black, food by CJ’s Diner and BAKED and wine tasting.

A silent auction will feature local artist wares.

Tickets are $40 and may be purchased by calling 563-0510, or tickets may be purchased at the door.

Store hosts fundraiser for Bear Smart

In August, cashiers at Kroegers Ace Hardware are selling $1 and $5 “bear paws” as a fundraiser for Bear Smart Durango.

Donations will support ongoing efforts to reduce human-bear conflicts in the greater Durango community.
