A Yoga for Hikers workshop with certified Iyengar instructor Martha Evers will take place from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Room 32 of the Smiley Building, 1309 East Third Ave.
The cost is $25, which will benefit Trails 2000.
All levels are welcome.
Participants will increase strength and stability while on the trail, and afterward they will open up hamstrings and the tight areas to find freedom in the feet, knees, hips and back.

Group will discuss ‘A Language of Life’
A conscious communication group meeting will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Thursdays in Room 12 of the Smiley Building, 1309 East Third Ave.
The group will begin meeting Sept. 3.
The group will discuss and practice from Marshall Rosenberg’s book Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life.

A free legal clinic is available in Ignacio
A free legal clinic for people who have no attorney will be offered from 2 to 5 p.m. on the second Friday of each month at the Ignacio Community Library, 470 Goddard Ave. Ignacio.
By computer link, volunteer attorneys will answer questions, help fill out forms and explain the process and procedure for all areas of civil litigation, including family law, property law, probate law, collections, appeals, landlord-tenant law, small claims, veterans issues and civil protection orders.

Local Kiwanis Club to host pancake day
The Kiwanis Club of Durango will celebrate the 60th annual Pancake Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 17 at the La Plata County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall, 2500 Main Ave.
Tickets are $10, and children younger than 12 eat free.
Community members, other civic organizations, nonprofits, businesses and families are invited to enjoy pancakes, scrambled eggs, ham, steak, maple and fruit-flavored syrups, green chile, salsa, coffee, tea, orange juice and milk.
The Kiwanis Club of Durango supports programs and activities aimed at improving the minds, lives and futures of the youths of La Plata County.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or from any Kiwanis Club member.
Neo Delphian Club to meet Sept. 14
The first meeting of the year for the Durango Neo Delphian Club will take place at 11 a.m. Sept. 14 at the home of Ann Karnes.
The topic for the meeting will be quilting.
The club is a study club for women that has been active in Durango since 1919.
