The Whole Expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 12 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 13 at the La Plata County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall, 2500 Main Ave.
The expo will showcase holistic and ecological products, services and seminars. There will be more than 90 exhibits, 15 workshops and seminars, patio events and more.
The cost is $5 or $2 for students with ID. The entry fee is good for both days, all exhibits, seminars, workshops and patio events.

Airport invites you to celebrate aviation
The Durango-La Plata County Airport will host an “Aviation Celebration” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 12 at 1000 Airport Road.
The celebration is a free community event at which the public is invited to view and learn about numerous military, private and emergency aircraft.
In addition to seeing a variety of aircraft, the event also will include an opportunity to tour airport fire and rescue equipment, Durango Fire Protection District equipment and airport snow removal equipment.
Live musical performances will be provided by The High Rollers, The Rhapsodies and The Durango High School Marching Band.
Free food will be provided, and the United Way will sponsor a beer tent. Door prizes will be given away to attendees.

Wolfwood Refuge to host art auction
Wolfwood Refuge of Ignacio will hold its fourth annual art auction to help raise money for the care and maintenance of more than 60 rescued animals from 2 to 6 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Lost Dog Bar and Lounge, 1150 Main Ave.
The auction will feature original work by many artists in the region. The event will include a live and silent auction with all proceeds going to the care and feeding of the animals.
“Ambassador” animals will be at the auction. Live music will be performed by Patrick Crossing, a Celtic band.
Art will be available for preview beginning Thursday at the Four Leaves Winery, 528 Main Ave., and at The Lost Dog beginning Sept. 10.
Founded by Paula and Craig Watson, Wolfwood Refuge is home to more than 60 wolves and wolf/dogs. Wolfwood offers educational programs and works with more than 30 different organizations and youth groups.
Tickets are $25 and include music, wine and appetizers. They are available at Maria’s Bookshop, 960 Main Ave., and at the door on the day of the event.
