A man is comforted by his wife Friday near 20th Street and West Second Avenue after they were hit by a city of Durango garbage truck at the intersection. The couple was riding a tandem bicycle when they were struck. The man was taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center with head and shoulder injuries.
