Furthermore, and even more ludicrous, is his remark that “real people make for a fun town.” So, is one to assume from his remark that the people who do not live in a mobile home park or affordable housing are not “real people” in this community nor are they “fun people”? Given the fact that Reinheimer is employed in a marketing job for the Durango Farmers Market, which is a great venue in this community, I wonder how he feels about all the “non real” and “non fun” people, meaning those of us that do not live in a mobile home park or affordable housing and evidentially are not a part of the local “workforce” but in fact support the Durango Farmers Market, his place of employment, every summer weekend?

Unfortunately, it is this type of unsophisticated view of the world that can create an unhealthy division within the mixed demographics of our communities, and candidly, I am surprised the Herald even elected to print his remarks.
