M. Brent Williams, violin, and Marilyn Mangold Garst, piano, will perform at 7 p.m. Friday at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango, 419 San Juan Drive.
The cost is $20 for adults and $8 for students and children.
The performance is part of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango’s 2015-2016 Recital Series.
Boutique craft fair to be held Saturday
The first annual Boutique Craft Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cowboy Church, 2601 Junction St.
The fair is free. More than 20 vendors will attend.
‘The Horowitz Piano’ visits Durango Thursday
The Life-Long Learning Lecture Series at Fort Lewis College will present “The Horowitz Piano” at 7 p.m. Thursday in Roshong Recital Hall in Jones Hall at FLC.
Vladimir Horowitz (1903-1989), one of the most important pianists of the 20th century, performed almost exclusively on a single Steinway piano, serial No. 3154503, now known as CD 503. This instrument is on tour throughout North America and will be at FLC on Wednesday and Thursday.
Lisa Campi-Walters will explore the relationship Horowitz had with his piano, and with his piano tuner, Franz Mohr. Through video and live musical demonstrations, participants will be drawn into his irresistible aural realm of extraordinary pianism.

Suicide Loss Day to be recognized
International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in Noble Hall, Room 130, at Fort Lewis College.
This is the one day a year when people who are affected by suicide loss gather around the world at events in their local communities for support, information and empowerment. This year’s program will include a screening of “Family Journeys: Healing and Hope after a Suicide,” a new documentary produced by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention that traces the ripple effect of suicide through families and communities, and explores the challenges people face as they cope and heal.

Grange to host baked potato bar potluck
A Baked Potato Bar Potluck will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Marvel Grange Hall, 217 County Road 133A, Marvel.
Potatoes and beverages will be provided. Edward Jones representative Kathy Hogan will present information on investing and answer questions.
