Only registered Democrats and Republicans are eligible to vote in the March 1 caucus to support their presidential candidate of choice.

To participate in the caucus, people can register at www. GoVoteColorado.com or at the La Plata County Clerk and Recorder’s Office, 98 Everett St., Suite C.

Gem, Mineral Club sponsors workshop

The Four Corner Gem and Mineral Club will host a handmade earrings workshop from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The earrings will be made with silver, natural stone and pearls. Participants will learn basic silversmith techniques to cut, shape, torch, texture, and finish precious metal. The workshop is open to ages 14 to adult, the class fee is $40, and the fee includes all materials.

A Democratic Debate Watch Party will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Durango Joe’s, 732 E. College Drive.

St. Mark’s offers Blue Christmas Service

St. Mark’s annual Blue Christmas Service will take place at 5:30 p.m. Monday at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 910 East Third Ave.

The service is designed as a healing present for people who are grieving. For many, losses and sorrows can become more acute during the holiday season.
