The topic will be “seven things I have learned from the death of my child.”

Scouts picking up food bags Feb. 6

Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of the Mesa Verde District BSA will be dropping off bags in residential areas of Durango and nearby towns to collect food for the needy.

Scouts will pick up bags and deliver them to local food banks Feb. 6.

People who don’t want to leave a bag at their door can drop off food items at local grocery stores, which also support local food banks.

Free injury exam takes place Feb. 9
