Ben is well-respected among his peers and co-workers and is known as being fair and doing the right thing. He understands the difference between offenders who pose a serious threat to the community and offenders who are appropriate for diversion programs or probation. For example, as a prosecutor, Ben referred veterans, young people and those who struggle with mental-health issues to qualified treatment providers so these individuals have the opportunity to turn their lives around.
