These are our institutions and our history. As these unique establishments are forced to close their doors because of rental constraints, we are losing our current history and charm. Rules and regulations that require a certain historic look do not protect these places from economic conditions that affect their viability. They do not preserve the memories that people create in these places. Respect our town’s traditions and history. Leave the veranda up at Francisco’s as a sign of that respect.
