After being pushed back a few weeks because of poor weather conditions, track and field athletes from La Plata County and the surrounding areas will converge on Wolverine Country Stadium on Wednesday for the annual Pine River Invitational. Durango High School will bring some of the best track athletes in all of Colorado Class 4A, while host Bayfield High School has plenty of athletes with big goals at the state meet this year, too. Action will begin with field events at 3 p.m.
