“American Ninja Warrior” is a sports entertainment television show on NBC. Contestants are selected from audition videos and must participate in a series of obstacle courses that test strength and dexterity.

Participants who complete the final courses move on to the national finals in Las Vegas.

Elliott, a skilled rock climber, is a case manager at Axis Health Systems in Durango and a student in the University of Denver Four Corners master of social work program.

Efforts to reach Elliott for comment Friday were unsuccessful.

NBC will air an episode of “American Ninja Warrior” on June 13 featuring Elliott competing in a regional competition held in Indianapolis.
